Co-Director of College Mentors
I am a first-year at Smith College and a first generation student. In addition, I am planning on majoring in sociology and latino/latina studies. I am deeply committed in working with and helping other people, particularly those who find themselves battling an unjust legal system that penalizes many immigrants and their families. I am the proud daughter of a Mexican-immigrant single mother, a proud Hispanic, and a proud women. I firmly believe everyone should have the resources and opportunity to go to college. The college process was extremely hard for me and I think my mentors helped me immensely. SWAG To College is the perfect program to enable students to receive advice, resources, and awareness. I want to ensure that SWAG To College motivates, impacts, and changes lives for the better.
