Born and raised in Houston, TX on February 2nd, 1996, I come from a Guatemalan family and I am the oldest child of 2. I enjoy singing and spending a lot of time with my family and friends. I am currently a sophomore enrolled at Texas State University. I plan on graduating in 2018 with a major in International Relations and a minor in Political Science.
The reason why I chose to major and minor in this field is because my ultimate goal is to be able to help the Latino community, those who are not offered the same opportunities as I am. I want to help those students who are not privileged to become educated because of the lack of resources. I knew exactly what I wanted to do after three years of being part of COGUA an
organization in which we helped inform undocumented Guatemalans mainly about their rights and different opportunities. Traveling around from city to city with the Guatemalan Consulate really helped me become even more passionate about helping the Latino community.
